Ephemera Bird Painting Class

Join me for a relaxing, creative session where you’ll craft a beautiful garden bird, kingfisher, hummingbird or sandpiper on 15cm paper, using a mix of paint and meaningful collage elements. Whether it’s for yourself or a thoughtful gift, you’ll create something truly special.

I’ll gently guide you every step of the way, with patience and encouragement, teaching you the skills needed to bring your project to life. By the end, you’ll have a stunning piece of art you’ll be proud to display.

We’ll set the mood with a warm pot of tea, plate of biscuits and the soothing sounds of slow jazz.

Together, we’ll take it one step at a time—choosing the right brush, practicing simple yet effective stroke and carefully layering colours and ephemera to build your bird.

When it’s time to add the collage elements, I’ll let you delve into a selection of vintage books, maps, dress patterns, old letters and handmade paper to mindfully select pieces that make your creation uniquely yours.

All materials are provided, but feel free to bring any personal items you’d like to incorporate for an extra sentimental touch. Let’s make something beautiful, relaxing, and filled with meaning!
