CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
All artwork must be your own and not a copy or an imitation. We need a minimum of 4 pieces for the exhibition but a maximum of 12 can be handed in (size dependant, please email Abi if you have questions regarding this). These can include the artworks submitted in your application, however, you are welcome to submit other pieces as long as they are in the same style as your application pieces.
We WILL accept: Paintings, drawings, etchings, screen prints, lithographs, collages and any other form of 2D work. Any 3D work will be considered, please email Abi directly about this as space is limited.
Digital works of art may only be entered if they are editioned and signed by the artist.
All artworks must be properly ‘finished’ e.g. pastels fixed, paintings glazed etc.
All artworks must be ready to be hung:
- Canvases must be fixed with hanging wire or string, or able to be hung by a nail.
- All Prints, Drawings, Photographs or other paper based images must be framed. These frames must be ready to be hung and secure. We will NOT accept any frames with plastic instead of glass. All frames must be fitted with d-rings and hanging cord and gum tapped securely on the back.
Images not framed properly i.e. without a mount/boarder, falling out of the frame, hanging fixture not secure, no d-ring fitting, no wire or string/cord, damaged frame, slipped/wonky image etc, will not be included in the exhibition and will incur a £5 per item handling fee.
All works must be for sale. From our experience, we’ve found works under £100 sell really well. However, larger artworks do sell.
Individual works must be no bigger than 1Mx1M, any works given in that are bigger than this will not be exhibited and will incur a £5 per item handling fee.
LABELLING:
All works handed in MUST be clearly labelled on the back with; artist name, image name, medium and price. Any works handed in without this will not be exhibited and will incur a £5 per piece handling fee.
SALES:
All sales will be processed by Oil & Oak.
We will notify the artist if we require a replacement piece. Our policy is to ask buyers to leave purchased works on display until the end of the exhibition. However, this cannot always be done, so a replacement piece may be requested at any time during the exhibition.
Please DO NOT contact The Malago regarding exhibition queries.
FEES:
We take a £20 selection fee – this is only taken from artists who are selected for our exhibitions. This is a Curation fee, but also goes towards Printing, Advertising & Promotion of the event.
There is a 30% commission rate taken on sales.

You will be notified within 24hrs of the application deadline if you have been selected for the exhibition. If you do not hear from us, unfortunately that means you have not been succesful this time.
